Trish Little, St. Amant Middle 2025-2026 Support Person of the Year

The district is proud to recognize Trish Little, nurse at St. Amant Middle School, for her exceptional service and leadership within Ascension Parish Schools. Throughout her career, she has supported students across multiple primary and middle school campuses, bringing a wealth of experience from both school nursing and prior professional roles. In addition to her work on campus, Trish serves as the Medicaid Coordinator for the district, a CPR instructor, a preceptor, and a team leader, demonstrating a strong commitment to mentoring others and strengthening school health services. Her dedication and impact were formally recognized when she was named Ascension Parish Schools Core Values Medallion recipient in 2023 and Support Person of the Year in 2023. In November 2025, Trish was passed the #PassTheTorch Tuesday, this torch is passed to someone who helps support learning in our district. Trish Little’s expertise, reliability, and passion for student well-being make her an invaluable asset to the district and the communities she serves.

Dina Pinell has been named the 2025 Louisiana School Nurse of the Year by the Louisiana School Nurses Organization

Nurse Dena Pinell has been named the 2025 Louisiana School Nurse of the Year by the Louisiana School Nurses Organization. Pinell represents the fifth school nurse from the parish to earn the honor. The LSNO presents the nurse of the year honor annually to an active or retired member who exemplifies excellence in school nursing.

Even in challenging circumstances, she remains upbeat and approachable, always greeting others with a warm smile.
