As part of our continued commitment to school safety and security, and in alignment with the district-wide implementation of weapons detection systems on all campuses, Ascension Public Schools will implement new clear backpack guidelines beginning with the 2026-27 school year.

Today’s release of the national Education Scorecard by researchers from Harvard University, Stanford University, and Dartmouth College brings exciting news for Louisiana and powerful validation for Ascension Public Schools.

Graduation season is here, and we are excited to celebrate the Class of 2026. This is a special milestone for our students and their families, and we look forward to honoring each graduate in a meaningful and memorable way.

LEAP state testing for students in grades 3 through 8 begins tomorrow, and we are ready. Our students, teachers, and staff have worked hard all year to prepare, and this is an important opportunity for students to show what they have learned.

As we approach Spring Break, there are several important updates to share as we begin wrapping up the 2025-26 school year.
