Today, the Louisiana Department of Education released District and School Performance Scores, and I am thrilled to share some incredible news that fills us with immense pride. Ascension Public Schools has reached a momentous achievement, solidifying its position as the largest district in Louisiana to earn an "A" rating! Our District Performance Score has soared to an impressive 93.7, marking a significant advancement from the already commendable 92 we attained last year. This score is comprised of a variety of measures including performance on state assessments, a growth index, graduation rates, and program offerings.

Tonight, the Ascension Parish School Board’s Strategic Planning Committee unanimously voted to recommend the proposed school attendance zone map SP 1 (Revised) for consideration by the full Board. This means, map SP 1 (Revised) will be placed on the Ascension Parish School Board’s meeting agenda on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023. That meeting is scheduled to take place at 6:30 p.m. in Donaldsonville.
