Tuition-free publicly funded seats in privately owned early learning centers are now available for children ages birth to three in Ascension Parish. This is made possible through a $1.8 million grant by the Louisiana Department of Education.

Ascension Public Schools earned two national awards for fiscal excellence. For the seventh consecutive year, Ascension earned the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), and for the sixth consecutive year earned the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO).
