Two virtual information sessions will be held in February for those interested in applying for Ascension Public Schools' Teach Ascension Academy (TAA) in March. TAA is an on-the-job professional development program for aspiring new teachers in Ascension's primary, middle, and high schools.

Ascension Public Schools will hold public meetings in February about the March 25, 2023, education renewals election. Parents and employees from all schools plus the general public are encouraged to attend the meetings, which are divided by high school feeder systems.
Ascension Public Schools Superintendent David Alexander announces his decision not to renew his contract after June 30, 2023. Alexander made the announcement at tonight's Ascension Parish School Board Meeting.
Over the past two months, students at five primary schools in Ascension Public Schools participated in the Seed Survivor Mobile Classroom, a program that educates students in grades 3-5 about the importance of agriculture.
Three students from Ascension Public Schools are currently enrolled in a competitive program known as the Young Entrepreneurs Academy of Baton Rouge, or YEA BR. Miah Brown, a senior at St. Amant High School; Lilian Tepper, a junior at Dutchtown High School; and Jayla Walker, a senior at Donaldsonville High School were selected from a pool of applicants in the Greater Baton Rouge Area.
