Report Bullying
Ascension Public Schools are committed to making our campuses safe and student-friendly. That is why we are working with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office to provide our students with a safe, anonymous way to report inappropriate behavior and bullying – whenever and wherever it happens!
Our students can text 847411, type in APSO and then text their tip and hit send.
It’s that quick and easy. Parents, please encourage your students to put this information in their phones this school year – again, the number is 847411 – Type APSO and the tip – and then hit send.
For our younger students who do not operate a cell phone, we are encouraging them to “Tell a friend. Talk to an adult.” Parents can also report bullying on behalf of their child.
It is important that we all work together to keep each other safe.
Caring Communities Youth Survey
Dear Parents/Guardians:
During the period of October 17 - November 18, 2022, students in grades 6, 8, 10, and 12 in our school district are taking part in an important survey on substance abuse, school dropout, delinquency and other problem behaviors. The survey is called the Louisiana Caring Communities Youth Survey.
The purpose of the survey is to gather information needed to plan prevention and intervention programs in our community and schools. These programs will address problems of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, school dropout, delinquency and violence in our schools and communities. Information will also help judge the effectiveness of current prevention and intervention efforts. There is copy of the survey instrument at the school. You can view by visiting the link below.

- If you are person with disabilities having issues accessing the above online link to the survey, please reach out to contact Josette Guillory at 225-391-7273 or josette.guillory@apsb.org
for assistance.
The survey is entirely anonymous and confidential. Students will not put their names or any other identifying information on the survey booklet. All results from the survey will be presented only in group summary form, like many opinion polls.
Your child’s participation in the survey is completely voluntary. Each child will be given the option of leaving blank any question that he or she prefers not to answer. You may decline to have your child participate if you wish. Please remember this survey offers your child the opportunity to share his or her confidential opinions on very important issues being faced by our youth today. If you decline, your son or daughter will be allowed to participate in some other alternative activity while his or her classmates are taking the survey.
If you have any other questions about this important study, please contact Josette Guillory at 225-391-7273 or josette.guillory@apsb.org. Additionally, please notify your school's administration in writing, only if you do not wish your son or daughter to participate in the study.
