Ascension Parish's Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs offer Industry-Based Credentials (IBCs) and specialized training that can lead to careers in the 11 pathways:

Our Pathway programs greatly increase a student's chances of graduating high school, furthering their education and/or stepping into a career they enjoy, with salaries averaging $55,000 per year.
Ascension Public Schools Off Campus Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs
APSB Career Center
The APSB Career Center is located in Sorrento at APPLe Digital Academy. Transportation is provided from the student’s home school. Courses Offered:

- Drones: Remote Controlled Vehicle Technology - credential available
- HVAC (Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning) - credential available
- PTEC- (Process Technology) DE- College Credit available
ABC- Associated Builders & Contractors Pelican Chapter
ABC participates with Ascension Public Schools to give students the “Jump Start” on high wage/high demand careers that are plentiful in our regional job market. Transportation is provided from the student’s home school. Courses Offered:
- Electrical (NCCER -National Center for Construction Education And Research)
- Millwright (NCCER)
- Pipefitting (NCCER)
- Welding (NCCER)
Automotive- Baton Rouge Community College Campus
Baton Rouge Community College Campus offers a DE course for students to explore areas of automotive service and technology. Students provide their own transportation.
Firefighter
Prairieville Fire Station on Hwy 73
The Louisiana High School Firefighter Training Program is a one-year program that trains participating seniors to become firefighters or volunteer firefighters.
